Vung Ro Petroleum Ltd’s vision for Phu Yen Province, located at Vietnam’s easternmost point, is to develop a vibrant new destination that will drive sustainable economic growth and attract both tourism and investment. The masterplan leverages the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, integrating a marina, luxury resort hotels, small living communities and private residential villas into a unified development. This approach aims to create a long-term strategy for sustainable prosperity and enhancing the region’s appeal.

The Vung Ro Bay design principles embedded in the masterplan emphasise sustainability, adaptability, diversity, public realm optimisation and accessibility. Three distinct zones shape the overall vision: the cascading marina development, offering panoramic sea views; a small town nestled in the valley; and Bay Mon, home to a stunning beach resort and the historic 1890s lighthouse which represents the most eastern point in Vietnam. A continuous thread of green landscape links these areas, forming a cohesive, walkable environment that blurs the line between nature and architecture.
The masterplan also prioritises sustainable infrastructure, minimising the environmental impact on the existing landscape. Strategies to mitigate flood risk, prevent watercourse contamination, conserve water, reduce energy demand and manage waste effectively are integral to the project. By incorporating local technologies and building methods, the development seeks to harmonise with its surroundings with safety in mind and the overall quality of life for residents and visitors.
From an economic perspective, this project positions Tuy Hoa and the surrounding region as a magnet for tourism and investment. The integration of hospitality, residential, and community spaces will deliver a multi-faceted destination that is active all year-round, strengthening the local economy and offering opportunities for growth. By attracting international interest and fostering a sustainable future, this development will play a pivotal role in shaping Phu Yen province as a premier destination in Vietnam.
