How to transform Cybarco Development’s design brief for a sustainable, cost efficient and instantly recognisable workplace inspired by the coastline into reality?
Combining both aesthetics and efficiency, our design response maximises sea views, natural light and cross ventilation, offering a functional and comfortable workplace. Our design reflects the smooth, rounded forms of Limassol’s shoreline pebbles, standing out as an architectural landmark. It inspired the building name: The Oval.

At 75 meters tall, this 16 storey landmark with the main core located on the north side, includes two basement car parking, a gym, staff restaurant and storages. It is Cyprus’s tallest office building, it reshapes Limassol’s skyline and is a symbol of innovation. The curved top of the building acts as roof terrace to the last two duplex offices offering sun shading and stunning views of the coastline.
The Oval’s climate responsive facade minimises solar gain, featuring shading verandas on the southern side and rain screen cladding on the east and west facades. Advanced parametric modelling helped to optimise the curved facade design, reducing material waste and ensuring cost efficiency.
The surrounding landscape is carefully crafted to echo the building’s flowing design, creating a cohesive aesthetic. Open garden spaces complement the workplace, providing areas for relaxation and social interaction. This unique combination of private offices and landscaped gardens fosters collaboration, encourages well-being and supports a vibrant work life balance.
